I cannot enter my Prestashop independent back office shop

InMotionFans 4 years ago in Ecommerce / Prestashop 15 0
I have my online shop, installed with the basic free Prestashop Theme, under my primary domain, “yesmike.net”, for about 5 months, and it is up and running. I have organized the categories, registered suppliers, carriers, products, its attributes, features, pricing and so on, and I am still on maintenance mode, and almost ready to go Live.
At this point, I intend to upgrade the Prestashop to a new and definitive professional “theme”, and was told that, I should replicate my current Prestashop and develop that independent online shop, into a subdomain, which has been created, as “test.yesmike.net”. A clone of my current online shop, has been installed under the “test.yesmike.net”, and I intend to develop the new shop with all the necessary tools, modules etc.
Now, I am having a situation here:
1. Thankfully my online shop, installed with the basic free Prestashop Theme, under my primary domain, “yesmike.net”, is still working fine, both the front door, as well as the back office.
2. When I enter test.yesmike.net, I can open the shop, however the directory shown is the same as my real shop https://yesmike.net, instead of https://test.yesmike.net. Is that a re-direction? Is that correct? Will I be able to develop and make changes and updates on the test site, and eventually transform/transfer all the data back into the one I will be using, on my primary domain, as I will need to?
3. When I enter test.yesmike.net/admin123, trying to open the back office, a new screen appears, showing up "THIS PAGE IS NOT AVAILABLE" we are sorry, but the web address you've entered is no longer available. And it gives me the option of clicking on "Home page" button, which takes me to the online shop. What should I do to go into the back office to develop my independent shop?
Thank you in advance for your help.
Sincerely,
Ednei M.

online shopping under the subdomain “test.yesmike.net”, is not working

InMotionFans 4 years ago in Ecommerce / Prestashop 15 0
I have my online shop, installed with the basic free Prestashop Theme, under my primary domain, “yesmike.net”, for about 5 months. I am developing the shop myself, with the help and guidance of your support team, and I have organized the categories, registered suppliers, carriers, products, its attributes, features, pricing and so on.
At this point, I am ready to upgrade the Prestashop to a new and definitively professional “theme”, and was told that to be safe, I should develop an independent online shop, into another domain, indeed a subdomain, which has been created, as “test.yesmike.net”. A clone of my current online shop, has been installed under the “test.yesmike.net”, and I intend to develop the new shop with all the necessary tools, modules etc.
Now, when I enter test.yesmike.net, I got a warning on the top: https://test.yesmike.net
… and on the screen the icon … and then a text: Your connection is not private
Attackers might be trying to steal your information from test.yesmike.net (for example, passwords, messages, or credit cards). NET::ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID
The situation:
1. Thankfully my online shop, installed with the basic free Prestashop Theme, under my primary domain, “yesmike.net”, is still working fine.
2. As explained on both, the second and the third paragraph above, the second, independent online shopping under the subdomain “test.yesmike.net”, is NOT opening at all, as explained above.
***** Could you please advise on how to get it working? *****
Thank you in advance for your much-appreciated help.
Sincerely,
Ednei M.

Using Prestashop with Mega Menu

Slamvape 4 years ago in Ecommerce / Prestashop 15 0
When trying to edit and save mega menu changes, the status bar on save never completely goes across. if I refresh I can't see the Categories. Seems like a memory issue. If I reset the menu than I see the categories but after formatting the menu with widgets and saving again the status bar doesn't complete. Although, I did notice the menu did update on the frontpage of the site.

Having shared hosting limit problems creating new Prestashop

InMotionFans 4 years ago in Ecommerce / Prestashop 15 0
Cannot use Prestashop admin screen to change default store to customize to my store items without the shared hosting server reaching limits and timing my website out. I cannot even add a catergory without it hitting limits and timing out. Is Prestashop no longer supported on the shared hosting Pro Plan? Very sad that salesperson sold me on 4 years because of servers were supposed to optimized for Prestashop stores and Inmotion is Prestashop recommended hoster. I cannot even setup a store and remove old default category store without timing out and having website down. Is this a known problem with a fix?

Prestashop admin page won't accept my admin login

icr8stf 4 years ago in Ecommerce / Prestashop 15 0
Earlier I installed Prestashop it worked like a charm. Something happened that prompted me to uninstall it and try another product. Now I am back to PS, but now with great frustration. I have re-installed it 4 times (I think 4). However every time I attempt to login to the admin page it treats the admin as an unknown user. It will send a password reset to the designated email which that too does not work. Every time I enter it in the fields just go blank as if I never did anything. I have tried other computers/phones and tried to reset the username and password via database. Nothing gets it to accept my profile to use Prestashop backoffice. Note: The first time I "uninstalled" I did not use the Scriptaculous process for the uninstall. I did clear out the DB, DB usernames and install path manually. I see folks with similar problems but from years ago, but the file structure is vastly different and those solutions are not relevant here. Can we wipe out any magical server cache or anything?

Add to Cart button in PrestaShop not working

InMotionFans 4 years ago in Ecommerce / Prestashop 15 0
When I click on a product to bring up the product page, the Add to Cart button does not work. It appears to be for all products. I cannot tell why it does this, nor do I recall when it stopped working.

Prestashop website permament redirect

InMotionFans 4 years ago in Ecommerce / Prestashop 15 0
Hello,

I just moved my prestashop shop from https://icinger.com/shop to https://icinger.com.
But I have customer that bookmarked the old urls + link from other websites. How could I set up permanent redirect from https://icinger.com/shop/* to https://icinger.com/*
I tried to add that in my .htacces
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^icinger.com/shop [NC,OR]
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^www.icinger.com/shop [NC]
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://icinger.com/$1 [L,R=301,NC]
But it didin't work as it seems prestashop is also redirecting.

Regards,

Cédric Icower
