Crop images in Boldgrid

Sometimes, I can crop images in boldgrid, and sometimes I can't. I have tried all different ways to approach the image, including restarting Boldgrid after I insert an image and before I attempt to crop it.

Wordpress combine css files

I run site analysis on my Wordpress theme, and it says I have 36 css files. Can you help or do you know how minimize the css files into 1 file? Or is it based on the theme I choose and contact the theme provider? I already have W3 total cache installed plus another minimizer but it took 53 css files down to 36. I am new to Wordpress.

What is best approach for Multitheme Wordpress Sites

I want to build a site where different pages have a different look, feel and features (hereafter, called "setting") using WordPress. I have used WP in the distant past, and have a general feel for how it works. I'm trying to get reoriented.

The options appear to be to install a plug-in/third-party package designed to support MultiTheme design, or set up multiple instances of WordPress for each different setting.

(A simple example of what I want to do might be to have a home page (with strong eye-catching visuals), a blog (where the emphasis would be on readability and accessibility of past articles) and a gallery space (unencumbered by the branding of the home page and the widgets used for internal search and navigation in the blog.)

Any ideas will be deeply appreciated.

Very slow WordPress Dashboard

Just starting out with building a website and learning WordPress. Experience very slow response time when in the WP dashboard customizing theme parameters. I am using Beaver Builder and the provided BB child theme. The BB page builder does not seem to have the same lag, only when in the WP dashboard itself. I am only running the BB plugin as well as W3 Total Cache (setup as recommended in help section) and an under construction plugin. However, I have tested after deactivating all of these plugins and have the same problem. I have even occasionally gotten a "server not responding message" when trying to log in or move around in the dashboard. Wondering if I have done something wrong in the setup.

Now I can access my wordpress site at all, I have tried going into my server files and replacing the code with the original code from the theme but no success, any suggestions?

Can't Match Image Size to Paragraph width in Text Box

This is a wordpress related question.

I’m building the site right now and it is unlisted, so here is a picture of my issue:
https://troutbitten.files.wordpress.com/2016/09/wpcantmatchpicsiz.jpg

I’m using the Journey theme that I bought from Indiegroundthemes.
http://indiegroundthemes.com/journey/version1/

The author has not yet answered my questions on this, but did help with one other bug.

I have researched a good bit on this and I get the sense that it will have to do with the CSS. I tried defining the media sizes in the settings of the dashboard. That did not work.

With the image in the picture, I have tried defining it as custom size 860 and I’ve tried larger. It just simply will not display larger than 600px. None of the images in any of my posts will display larger than 600.

I would like to learn how to change the value (somewhere) that is holding this up. Oddly enough, in the demo of the theme, the pics reach the edge of the paragraphs in the text boxes just as I would like them to. There are no settings found in the limited documentation for this theme, and I cannot adjust settings through the IndiePanel anywhere.

I’m at an end. So I’m here to ask for help and listen.

Thanks

Removed Boldgrid manually, now what?

I was playing around with a new Boldgrid install today and really liked what it did. I had installed a bunch of sample themes, plugins, etc just seeing what it would do. I then decided to delete that install and start over with a fresh install to actually go public. I went in and manually deleted all the files and the database. Now when I try to install a new Boldgrid instance it says it's installed, but there are no files installed. What do I need to do now?

Returning and Displaying result from JS subFunction on Wordpress page

I have a pair of nested functions to parse an XML document. The subfunction does the heavy lifting and creates the text string that I'd like to display on a WP page. The variable I'd like to pass is out of scope for the document.write() function and I can't figure out how to pass the result back to the main calling function. Any help would be appreciated. Please tread lightly - I'm new to most of this.
