# How to Disable the Softaculous Auto Login Feature

In this article, we’ll cover how to disable the [auto-login feature for WordPress](/support/edu/wordpress/how-to-log-into-wordpress-using-softaculous/) in Softaculous Instant Installer for cPanel users.

This article only applies to [VPS](https://www.inmotionhosting.com/vps-hosting) and [Dedicated Hosting](https://www.inmotionhosting.com/dedicated-servers) servers.

## Disable Auto-Login

1. [Log in to WHM](/support/edu/whm/log-into-whm/#whm-root-access) as [root](/support/amp/obtain-root-access/).
2. On the left, select **Softaculous – Instant Installer**.
3. On the left, select **Settings**, then **General**.
4. Under *End User Panel Settings*, check the box beside **Disable Auto Login**.
5. Click **Edit Settings**.

Now, the admin link will prompt you for login credentials.
