# How to View a Backup Using the Backup Manager

**InMotion Hosting’s Backup Manager** plugin integrates cPanel with your account’s *remote backups*. Remote backups are created for files/folders and databases separately. In this guide, you can learn **how to view the files and databases contained in a backup**.

## View Files/Folders Backup

1. [Log into cPanel](/support/edu/cpanel/how-to-log-into-cpanel/).
2. Click on the **Backup Manager** icon.
3. Click the expand/collapse link *** *Home Directory**.
4. Select a backup from the **Restore From Date** drop-down.
5. In the **Select Files** field, click on the folder icon to navigate through a directory.

## View Database Backup

1. [Log into cPanel](/support/edu/cpanel/how-to-log-into-cpanel/).
2. Click on the **Backup Manager** icon.
3. Click the expand/collapse link **MySQL** *(or PgSQL)*.
4. Select the desired backup from the **Restore From Date** drop-down.
5. Click on the **Database** drop-down to view the databases that are present in the backup from the date you selected.
