SpamExperts replacing McAfee Email Protection

Announcement:McAfee Email Protection is being replaced by SpamExperts service on 12/01/2016. As you may be aware, McAfee is discontinuing their hosted SPAM filtering product on January 11, 2017. This means that after this date, your email will no longer be filtered by McAfee. We are confident that you will enjoy an improved level of SPAM protection with SpamExperts, with access to improved filtering controls and easier access to SPAM controls.
Who is impacted?People using the McAfee Email Protection Service. Starting 12/01/2016, we will be switching all users with active McAfee subscriptions to use SpamExperts with Premium SpamPanel access, and ALL email addresses for ALL domains on your account will take advantage of Premium SPAM filtering at no additional charge. This change will take effect automatically, which will involve your MX records being adjusted to the following values:
mx1.inmotionhosting.com – priority 10
mx2.inmotionhosting.com – priority 20
Why is this happening?McAfee will no longer be offering their spam filtering services.
Do I have to do anything? The change over to SpamExperts should be seamless for current McAfee users. However, if you are using a 3rd party DNS service you will have to update your MX records to point to SpamExperts. If any domains on your account use external nameservers, you will need to manually adjust your MX records to the values above in order to take advantage of this new service. Your domains are already configured in our SPAM filters to filter email once the MX records have changed and propagated.

If you do not wish to use this service, please contact our Customer Service department to cancel your subscription to McAfee if you have not done so already. You must also change your MX records to point back to your hosting server, as leaving them pointed to McAfee’s mail servers will result in an interruption to your email after January 11, 2017. Information on how to point your MX records to us can be found in our support center.

If you have already contacted us to cancel your subscription to McAfee prior to learning about this new alternative option, and you do wish to re-subscribe and use this new premium service, please contact our Customer Service department to reinstate the service.

We do not anticipate any interruption of email services for your account during this transition; however, if you have questions or experience any difficulty, please do not hesitate to contact our Support department for assistance.
