Recently, it has been found that there is a new virus infecting OSX users running an outdated version of Java. An outside security firm reports the virus has infected roughly 600,000 mac computers to date with 56.6% of those being within the United States. The virus exploits Java and is dubbed "Trojan-Downloader:OSX/Flashback.I" and it connects to a remote site to download its payload, and the malware upon succesfull infection, modifies targeted webpages that the web browser displays. This poses the threat of indentity theft of the user on the infected computer.
