# How to Backup WordPress to Dropbox

With the [UpdraftPlus](https://www.inmotionhosting.com/support/edu/wordpress/plugins/updraftplus-backup-plugin/) plugin, you can backup your WordPress site to a remote storage location such as [Email](/support/edu/wordpress/plugins/email-backup/), or [FTP](/support/edu/wordpress/plugins/ftp-backup/). In this tutorial, we will show you how to **backup WordPress to Dropbox** using the UpdraftPlus WordPress plugin.

Since Dropbox stores your site backups on another location from your website, it will still be available to download and [restore](/support/edu/wordpress/plugins/updraftplus-backup-plugin/) if your server is down or inaccessible.

**Note:** You should log into the Dropbox account you want to use for backups before following this guide.
