# Change Default Time Zone in PrestaShop

The default Time Zone in your PrestaShop 1.5 store represents the time zone that your product price specials are set. Your *Localization* settings allow for you to change the default Time Zone for your store. Below are the instructions to set the default currency or your PrestaShop 1.5 store.

**Modifying the default Time Zone in PrestaShop 1.5**

1. [Log into your PrestaShop 1.5 admin dashboard](/support/edu/prestashop/login-to-dashboard/).
2. Using the top menu bar, hover over the **Localization** tab and click on the **Localization** option.
3. This brings you to the *Localization* settings page. Look for the *Configuration* section and find the **Time Zone** field.
4. Use the dropdown menu to select your preferred Time Zone. In this example, we selected the **US/Eastern** time zone.
