Can you tell me how to do that in 1.7 Prestashop?

The main difference is that you will need to click on Administration, then Preferences. Typically, the preferences section appears first (so you don't really need to click on Preferences). From this point, you'll see "Lifetime of front office cookies." Hope that helps!

Thanks Jeff

I actually found it. I noticed the recent cache changes (from memcache back to file system cache) in ps on my server were shortening the cookie time for no apparent reason (probably old caching).  It seems updating/saving the cookies in the area you said seems to have remedied that. Thanks
