When processing the orders in your OpenCart shopping cart you may want to include an invoice in the package for shipping. This is wise, so your customers can review the order once it’s received and they will have an invoice for their records. You can print customer invoices in the OpenCart Dashboard. Customers can view previous orders (order history) by logging into the shopping cart but they do not have the ability to print invoices.

  1. Log into your OpenCart Dashboard
  2. Go to Sales > Orders
  3. Check the box on the left side of the order you wish to print an invoice for
  4. Click “Print Invoice” in the upper right corner of the screen
  5. opencart_print_1

  6. Right click on the invoice and select “Print

Hello Steve,

Thank you for contacting us. It is possible there is an error being suppressed. Enabling error reporting in OpenCart may allow the error to display.

Are you sure there are invoices to display?

Can you provide a link to the error or screenshot?

Thank you,

Hello Denis,

Thanks for the question. We can't really provide you code on how to change the invoice, but we can suggest a module/extension that can easily resolve the problem for you. There may be others, but the one that I found that provides a fix for you would be PDF Invoice pro. If you have any further questions or comments, please let us know.

Hello Vikas,

Thanks for the question. A summary invoice is only available if you are a registered customer and you can print the page with the order. If you want a dedicated invoice for the checkout, then you will need to find an invoice extension that needs to be installed.

I hope that clears up the issue. Let us know if you have any further questions or comments.

Hello there, my website it's pretty much done with details, but as far as the invoice, it gives the regular information if I print a copy of a regular order, but I'm trying to add Terms and conditions right under the cells of the invoice, I know it requires html knowledge, am willing to follow each step if you can guide me on how to do it on FILE MANAGER... I know how to go inside the menus bu haven;t been able to find the invoice menus... Please help... Thank you

Hello JC, and thanks for your comment.

If you'd like to modify the order invoice that you print out within OpenCart, you can modify your invoice template to do so. Please make sure to make a backup of this file before trying to make any edits to it:

/admin/view/template/sale/order_invoice.tpl (Line 12)

<h1><?php echo $text_invoice; ?></h1>

The HTML code below this line is where the formatting starts for your order invoice. So depending on exactly where you'd like to place your terms and conditions it would more than likely be below this line.

If you have any issues getting this to work, please let us know!

Could you please tell me what code I would put there for the Terms & Conditions and Return Policy to show that it was agreed to on the invoice.

Thank you in advance
