After learning about Moodle Blocks, the administrator may want to customize the appearance of the calendar block. Because each school will have different Calendars, Moodle allows the admin to change the Calendar appearance to suit each schools needs. For example, many schools have classes Monday through Thursday and no classes on Friday to Sunday. In this case, the calendar can be edited to display only those parameters when displayed to the students. This article will explain the Appearance settings for the calendar in Moodle 2.3.

Hello Pattabhi,

Thanks for the question. This kind of change will not be something that you find in an "index.html". The good news however, is that you can actually move the calendar block very easily using when you login to the Moodle Administrator. Once you login to the admin, go to the Administration section and look for FRONT PAGE SETTINGS. Under Front Page settings, click on Turn Editing On. Next, find the Calendar block, and then click on the icon that looks like a cross. You will then be presented with a list of items that you can choose. Choose each item and you will see the calendar block immediately move on the page. Once you have moved it, and you're satisfied with its position, then click on Turn Editing Off to save your change.

Getting more specific would require that you play with the Moodle theme files or CSS. I hope that helps you with your requirement. Please let us know if you have any further questions or comments.
