# Approving Customer Reviews in Magento 1.6

When a customer of your Magento 1.6 website leaves a review, you must approve it before it will show up on the site. If you have a review to approve you can do that in the [Magento hosting](https://www.inmotionhosting.com/magento-hosting) Admin Backend.

   1. [Log into your Magento Admin Panel](/support/edu/magento/how-to-log-into-magento-admin-panel/)
   2. Go to **Catalog -> Reviews & Ratings -> Customer Reviews -> Pending Reviews**
   3. Select “**Edit**” next to the review you wish to approve

   1. Change “**Status**” to “**Approved**“
