[![Example view of a weather module in Joomla 3](https://www.inmotionhosting.com/support/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/joomla_weather-module_joomla-3-weather-module.png)](/support/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/joomla_weather-module_joomla-3-weather-module.png)

## In this tutorial:

[Install Weather Module](#install) [Configure Weather Module](#configure)

In this **Joomla 3** tutorial we will show you how to add a **weather module** to your website. You will then be able to display the weather forcast for a specific region. In this guide, we will be using the free Weather365, which is powered by [Weather365.net](https://www.weather365.net/en). I chose this module because it can be set up easily, and it does not require any payment or registration.

## Installing and Enabling the Weather365 Module

1.
   1. Download the **Weather365** module. At the time this article was written the file was named: *mod_weather_365_3.0.zip*. . Updating to frequently can affect the performance of your website.

Fix German Umlaut If you are displaying the weather in German, choosing **Yes** here will fix the umlaut “**¨**” in the database.

- Over to the right, select a **Position** for the weather module to display. If you need help identifying the position, you can easily view them by following our guide on how to [view module positions](viewing-module-positions) in Joomla.
- Click the **Menu Assignment** tab, and choose which pages you want the Joomla 3 weather module displayed on. Options are: On all pages, No pages, Only on the pages selected, or On all pages except those selected.
- Click the **Save** button. Then you will see a message stating “*Module successfully saved*.” You will now be able to see your Joomla 3 weather module on the pages you assigned it to.

Congratulations, now you know how to add a **Weather Module** in **Joomla 3**!
