# Joomla 3.1 Server TimeZone

Joomla 3.0’s **Server Time Zone** setting can be found within the [Joomla Server Settings](/support/) section. Joomla gives the following description for this setting:

| About the Server Time Zone | Available Time Zone Options |

| **Server Time Zone** *Choose a city in the list to configure the date and time for display* | The default time zone is set to *Universal Time, Coordinated (UTC)*, but there are many other timezones available. The time zones are organized in the following groups: - Africa
- America
- Antarctica
- Arctic
- Asia
- Atlantic
- Australia
- Europe
- India
- Pacific |

 

## To change your Server Time Zone in Joomla 3.0:

1. [Log into your Joomla 3.0 Dashboard](/support/edu/joomla/joomla-3/how-to-log-in-to-administrative-dashboard/)
2. In the left menu, click the **Global Configuration** link
3. In the list of tabs towards the top of the page, click the **Server** tab
4. Under the *Location Settings* heading, find the **Server Time Zone** setting. Use the drop down menu to the right to choose the appropriate time zone for your website, and then click the **Save** button in the top left of the page.
