# How to indent an entire paragraph in Joomla 2.5

Indenting text in Joomla 2.5 can be done using the *Increase Indent* button in [the article editor](/support/edu/joomla/joomla-2-5/editor-for-joomla-25/). Indenting content in essence adds padding to text and helps make it stand out. In this Joomla 2.5 tutorial, we’ll show you how easy it is to indent a paragraph.

## How to indent a paragraph in Joomal 2.5:

1. [Log into your Joomla admin](/support/edu/joomla/joomla-3/how-to-log-in-to-administrative-dashboard/) and open the article you’d like to work with
2. 3. If you’d like to increase the indentation, cilck the *Increase Indent* button again. To the left of the increase indent button is the decrease indent button. If you need to remove the indentation (or make it less), click this button.
