    • Hello PNG,

If you’re having problems with logging into the Joomla backend, then you can recover the password using the password recovery tools in the login, or try going through this tutorial.

If you have any further questions or comments, please let us know.

    • We need a bit more information than what you have provided. Did you ever have the menu bar? Did you install anything and then it disappeared? We’ll need you to provide specific information to help you.

    • Hello Festo,

Without any way to test or duplicate, it is not likely I will be able to nail the issue. However, I would advise to test your htaccess file by renaming it and trying to get to the admin section. Also, what changes did you make prior to the issue appearing?

  • Can’t get account established; tried with info provided by new web host and it said confirmation would be sent.  Hour later nothing so I tried to create acc’t again but wouldn’t let me resubmit same info, said already in use.  Used new info and new email address and confirmation email came almost immediately.  When i responded I was assured account would be opened as soon as an administrator approved. As I waited for that email another message showed up saying the email address was not valid.  Same one that had just received the email.  So I tried using other (original) email address and it wouldn’t accept that, saying the email address was already in use.  Stuck in a loop, what to do?

    • Hello Al,

Apologies with the frustration in trying to set up your account. I’m not sure if you’re asking about a new hosting account, or if you’re trying to create a new account in a Joomla website (which is the main subject of the article above). If you’re trying to setup a new hosting account, please call into our sales/support team as per the information at the bottom of the page. They can best help you with that issue – we would not be able to correct that problem in the Community support page.

If you’re trying to create a new Joomla user account, you will need to email/contact the owner of the Joomla site in order to add a new user or make any additions to the Joomla-based site. Please provide us more information and we would happy to help you with your problem. We cannot access the administrator portion of Joomla websites.

    • My Joomla 2.5 installation does not show an “Extension Manager” icon or an “Extension Manager” page. I am an administrator. Additionally, the administration page does not work with the latest Google Chrome browser. If there are serious browser incompatibility issues, they should be documented.

    • Hello Will,

We do not have random files available for download. What does the kickstart.php file do? Have you checked Google to see if it is something you can download for free? Obviously if it is not free we would be unable to give it to you even if we had it.

      Kindest Regards,

Sorry to hear you’re having problems with the website. Unfortunately, we do need a little more detail than what you have given. Can you specify the problem or give the steps to replicate your current problem? We can’t teach you to build the entire website from scratch, but we can provide advice, guides and resolve specific issues for the software you’re using. Please provide more information and we can try to give you a hand.
