# How to Enable & Disable Maintenance Mode in Joomla 3.5

This is because **Joomla 3.5** is set to **Offline** by default. In this tutorial we will show you how to turn the **Site Offline** setting On, or Off. This will enable or disable **maintenence mode** in Joomla 3.5.
