# Working with the DNS Authority API key

In this tutorial, we will show you how to **View**, **Request**, and check on the **status** of your *DNS Authority Key* in AMP.

## How to See your API Key

1.
   1. [Login to AMP](https://www.inmotionhosting.com/support/amp/how-to-log-into-amp/).

## How to Request a new API Key

1. [Login to AMP](https://www.inmotionhosting.com/support/amp/how-to-log-into-amp/).

3. Scroll down to the *DNS Authority Key* section, and click the **Request New Key** button. [![](https://www.inmotionhosting.com/support/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/amp_request-new-key.png)](/support/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/amp_request-new-key.png)
4. You will then see a message stating “*This should only be done if you believe your current DNS Key has been compromised.*” Click the **Submit Request** button to proceed.

## How to Check the Status after Requesting a new API Key

3. Scroll down to the *DNS Authority Key* section, and you can view the status of your request. If your *API Key* has already been administered, it will be listed.
