# How to Change your cPanel Language

This guide will show you how to **change** your ***language*** preference in cPanel. When you first access your cPanel it will be in English, but there may be times when you want to change this to a different language. As an example, your designer may prefer to use cPanel in German or Japanese.

## Changing your cPanel Language

1. [Log into cPanel](https://www.inmotionhosting.com/support/edu/cpanel/how-to-log-into-cpanel/)
2. Click your username on the top-right, then click the **Change Language** link.![](https://www.inmotionhosting.com/support/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/cpanel_change-language_cpanel-change-language-1024x394.png)
3. Click the drop-down menu in the *Select Language* section, then select your new language.![Select a Language](https://www.inmotionhosting.com/support/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/cpanel_change-language_select-a-language.png)
4. Click the **Change** button.![Change the Language](https://www.inmotionhosting.com/support/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/cpanel_change-language_change-language.png)The page will then refresh and display in your selected language. In my tests, I changed the cPanel language from English to Spanish.![cPanel language changed to Spanish](https://www.inmotionhosting.com/support/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/cpanel_change-language_spanish-cpanel.png)

Congratulations, now you know how to change the language your cPanel displays in!
