Thoughts on “How to Install BoldGrid with the Connect Key

  • When pressing Upload Plugin and Choose file. I am unable to choose the downloaded folder. When dragging the folder the installation does not work. It does not look like the folder is .zip on my Mac

  • Just moved to Inmotion from Hostgator.Hostgator had super easy to use site builder. No tech girations needed. I cant get boldgrid to install at all on IM hosted sites, just keeps “loading”…not sure I made the right choice in this move…site builder should be super easy and fast…waiting for tech support to install it.

    • Thanks for the feedback! Typically BoldGrid is a one click install from inside AMP. This is a manual tutorial but if you’re not on a VPS or Dedicated server you shouldn’t need it.

  • I’m getting this error when trying to Activate BoldGrid:

Warning: call_user_func_array() [function.call-user-func-array]: First argument is expected to be a valid callback, ‘Boldgrid_Inspirations_Attribution_Page::on_deactivate’ was given in /home/nutrit13/public_html/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php on line 298

BoldGrid Inspirations requires PHP 5.3 or greater.

  • I’m having issues with simply getting Boldgrid to complete the install.  Once i click on install Boldgrid within the panel, it says “installing Boldgrib but after 2 1/2 it displays the same status, whats the deal? I havent even made it to issues mentioned above.  Please Help!

    • Are you stuck specifically on step 7? I am not able to duplicate any installation error. I would try to deactivate and delete the BoldGrid plugins and try again. This should work right away. If you are still getting errors, it may be something account or server specific. In that case, be sure to contact Live Support so they can walk you through and see if there are any anomalies.

  • I installed the boldgrid and activated the plugins, but I can’t find anywhere to insert the BoldGrid Connect Key.  I didn’t get a pop up at all.

Also, the installation was done from AMP panel and I transferred a Joomla site via FG, which seemed to be successful, but is not showing in the live site.  All the files and pages are there in the backend, but not on live site or front end.

    • If the installation was done via AMP, the key should have already been inserted, so you will not see the popup to do so again.

  • I installed BoldGrid following the instructions above. When I tried to activate it, I got the following error.

Warning: require(/home/*****/public_html/*****/wp-content/plugins/boldgrid-inspirations-master/pages/templates/restrict-direct-access.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/*****/public_html/*****/wp-content/plugins/boldgrid-inspirations-master/boldgrid-inspirations.php on line 26″

How can I fix the error?

    Thanks for your help!

    • Hello KC,

Sorry for the problem with the installation directions. The location of the plugin download has changed. The actual URL used is this one: Plugin download only.

You should be able to complete the installation using that download. If you continue to have problems, please let us know immediately.

      Kindest regards,
      Arnel C.

    • Hello Webkitso,

Sorry to hear that you’re having a problem with accessing the WordPress site. As per the error message, the URL you’re trying to use is not being found on the webserver. If you are a customer of InMotion, please provide us more information on the domain name and then we can investigate it further. Otherwise, you may need to speak with your current hosting service support in order to find out what’s going on with the website.

If you have any further questions or comments, please let us know.

      Regards,
      Arnel C.
