If I install wordpress will it ruin my published site?
Nevermind. I figured out that I can choose a subdirectory to install wordpress into.
Thank you for you question regarding switching to Wordpress.
I recommend installing wordpress in a different folder if you want to try it out, before replacing your existing site.
To accomplish this, use Softaculous to install the software, and for the directory option enter a folder name, such as blog, or test.
As long as it is installed in a different directory, it will not interfere with your existing site.
If you want to replace your website with Wordpress, delete the contents of the public_html folder first, be sure to leave any folders for addon or parked domains. Then install Wordpress using softaculous, and leave the directory option blank.
To remove Wordpress, simply uninstall it from Softaculous.
