I ran my test site thru

http://ismyblogworking.com/

and it is telling me that gzip compression is not available.

I routinely get 10-20 + sec. clocking while updating my pages/posts, and the performance reports are showing poor in gzip.

My site is not very extensive with pages/content.

Is there capacity/bw issue on inmotion?

Why can't I run gzip ?

Hello Euchre,

gzip is enabled on all of our shared servers. We have an article explaining how to us it. In case you did not find it with our search feature, I have included a link below. This should help with your issue.

An introduction to gzip/mod_deflate

MyGTMetrix report says I failed gZip Compression and I just went to http://www.whatsmyip.org/http-compression-test/ who says my site IS using compression and checked fine. What do I believe ?
