On my site, I have a text widget in my only sidebar. Looks fine when viewing the site, but I need to edit it. I can not find it in the widget area. I've deleted all the inactive widgets and can not find it anywhere. Help would be appreciated greatly.

Hello bschwartz88, and thanks for your question.

We do have a guide on how to use the WordPress text widget. Did you simply go to the Appearance > Widgets section in your WordPress admin and then drag the Text widget from the Available Widgets section into the Sidebar section?

You should see the Text widget in your Sidebar section on the right-hand side, it wouldn't be under Inactive Widgets. You should just be able to click on the Text widget to expand it, then you could edit the Title and body of the text and click on Save to update the changes.

If you're still having issues finding this, please let us know what website you're seeing this on. We can hide your domain for privacy if you'd like, but for us to be able to see what's going on it sounds like we might need to take a look ourselves.

Please let us know if you had any further questions at all.

Thanks, but this doesn't solve my problem. I am familiar how to use the widget section of the dashboard. The text widget is not to be found in the sidebar. However, the text and an embedded video are showing up above the two active widgets in the sidebar. Thanks...

Hello Bschwartzman88,

If you're seeing an element that's normally supposed to be part of the widgets, but it's not there, then it's either the theme or a plugin causing the behavior. In this case, it's your theme. You're using the Thesis theme. Login to your admin, and then look for "Thesis" in the menu. You'll see "Skin Content" - click on that and then click on "Sidebar Text box", then you'll see all of the text as well as the settings for that video that are in the sidebar. The rest of it -the social media and recent posts- are widgets.

Hope that helps to clarify it for you!
