automatic redirect to cgi-sys/defaultwebpage.cgi

I'm trying to setup a wordpress blog and after completing the installation procedure, I'm getting auto-redirected to /cgi-sys/defaultwebpage.cgi when I try to visit the website.

If I try to access the site by name, I can't even view .HTML files that are there, but I can if I access it by IP. Although if I just put in the IP address with no file name, I get the same redirect.

Any idea what is going on and/or how to fix this? I tried to google this and the only solution I found recommended to upgrade CPanel to an unstable release.

Hi AMessier,

Thanks for posting your question. I'm sorry you're having issues with a bad re-direct. I'm happy to assist you.

Can I have the domain name of the site you're having trouble with? Can you provide me with the steps to replicate the error?

Any additional information you can provide would be helpful. If you need further assistance please feel free to contact us.

Thanks!

Tim S
