Hello FerBo7,

I'm a bit confused. The latest version is PrestaShop v1.6.0.8, if your install is showing that version, then you shouldn't need to upgrade past that point.

You said you started out with PrestaShop v1.5.0.17 and then tried to upgrade, did you run into any errors along the way? It sounds like it did upgrade, as it's now showing the latest version is being used.

Taking a look at your /vapemex/config/settings.inc.php I am seeing ('_PS_VERSION_', '1.6.0.8');.

Did you follow our steps for how to upgrade PrestaShop 1.5 to 1.6?

I also see that you had a support chat roughly 3 hours ago relating to an incorrect PHP version being run causing some issues. Are you still having any problems with your site?

Hello FerBo7,

Did you download the 1.6.0.8 core files? If so, simply changing the version number in your settings.inc.php file to an older version isn't going to revert the rest of the core files back to an old version, so you'll probably run into issues upgrading.

You would want to go to the PrestaShop developer downloads page and download the PrestaShop 1.5.0.17 core files to use on your 1.5.0.17 database, and then do the normal upgrade PrestaShop 1.5 to 1.6 process.

Please let us know if you have any further issues.

I download the files for 1.5.0.17 and replace just the classes folder and it works. The file settings.inc.php shows the version 1.6.0.8 but the correct one is 1.5.0.17 so I replace it. After that I did the upgrade but now the issue is that images dissapeared and a question mark is showed on each thumbnail or image of the products. I am checking that. Thanks.

Hi,

I finally can do the upgrade of Prestashop after migrating hosting. My old version was 1.5.0.17 and the updated 1.5.6.2. After that images are not displayed, just question mark.

I have check the folder /img/p and its empty so I copy the old files to that folder and then I enable the "Move Images" function within Preferences -> Images and run it, then I run the "Regenerate Thumbnails" with check and the page hangs, then I uncheck the option and the images are not still displaying.

Also I want to update the modules but I cant, I clic at "Update it" on every module that has it, but the page stills the same and the option "Update it" appears each time, so the modules cant be update anymore.

My language of Prestashop is Spanish so the name of the option and menu can be different :)

Hello FerBo7,

As a test, have you created a fresh install of PrestaShop 1.6 in a subfolder (exqample.com/testfolder) and see if the behavior is the same? Also, what modules in particular have you tested? I will perform the same test on my own 1.5-1.6 upgrade here to see if I get the same.

When you say that images are now showing a question mark, what images particularly? Are they the thumbnail images or the images when visiting the product page?

Thanks for your support guys. What I am doing is to upgrade from 1.5.0.17 to 1.5.6.2, now its upgraded. The issue is that the images are not displaying now (vapemex.com) just a question mark.
I also open a ticket at prestashop forum:
http://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/342445-wrong-prestashop-version-and-i-cant-upgrade-because-of-that/#entry1726806
I would like to upgrade without issues this week to get up the site at production the next weekend.

Hello FerBo7,

I did a check on your images and they seem to no longer be in your account. I searched for several of them throughout your account and could not find any of them.

You may want to restore your backup copy right before you began upgrading and then upgrade to the 1.5.6.2 once more to see where things begin to go wrong.

Hello Ferbo7,

It sounds like you have an archive file called backup140704.zip that got skipped during the backup process.

More than likely PrestaShop has detected that this backup file at close to 680MB in size is probably duplicated content to what's being backed up from the site itself as well.

Additionally settings in your php.ini file relating to:

max_execution_time
memory_limit

Might need to be adjusted to be higher to allow PrestaShop to include that file in the backup process. But I would more than likely not worry about that archive getting backed up inside of another backup you're currently making.

What valued do you recommend for:
max_execution_time
memory_limit
I have 300 and 512MB respectively.

Hello FerBo7,

You have to transfer over your images to our server, otherwise your updated PrestaShop installation isn't going to be able to use them.

For instance you have this page:

http://example.com/dekang/299-dekang-desert-30ml-pg.html

With this image missing on the server:

http://example.com/1394-large_default/dekang-desert-30ml-pg.jpg

Taking a look in your website's directory, there is no directory named /13394-large-default, nor is there any image named dekang-desert-30ml-pg.jpg anywhere on your account.

I would assume when you made your 1.5.0.7 backup, this didn't include your images. So I'd be surprised of when you just got your PrestaShop store setup on our server using that backup your images worked at all prior to upgrading.

It looks like you only have .jpg images in your domain's directory in the following locations:

admin
img
installbak
modules
psjm

For the steps in our upgrade PrestaShop article to work properly, you need to ensure that you've moved over PrestaShop 1.5 to our server in its entirety and that it is completely working before beginning the upgrade.

If you are still getting errors about the backup file, keep trying to raise your php.ini values higher, it shouldn't hurt to set them very high and then set them back after you're done.

Hello Ferbo7,

I took a look at the website, and I can see the graphics okay. Are you unable to see the graphics? You may need to clear your browser cache if you are still unable to see the graphics.
