Filemanager problems in prestashop 1.6 backoffice

When I try to upload a picture using the filemanager inside a new product description field, I see "?" (big question marks) instead of my products pictures.

If I click on them and position them inside my product description field, it uploads the question mark 125x125 px file, not the actual product picture I want to showcase.

It was working fine until 3 days ago although I did not do any setting change, the problem persists.

I tried the following without any success:
1- regenerate my main htaccess file
2- regenerate thumbnails miniatures

Some other people seem to have this issue but nobody came up with a solution so far.

Looking forward your help!

Hello mrnico,

Thank you for your question. This issue seems to occur in PrestaShop at times, and I could not find a definitive solution in the Official PrestaShop forums.

We are happy to help, but will need some additional information. Other than the question marks on images, are you getting any error messages?

Putting PrestaShop in debugging mode, can help provide a more detailed error message; which helps in troubleshooting.

Also, enabling the Debug Profiler can provide more in-depth information regarding what the website is doing on a code level.

Can you provide a link to a page that is getting the image error?

If you have any further questions, feel free to post them below.
Thank you,

-John-Paul
