Add to Cart button in PrestaShop not working

When I click on a product to bring up the product page, the Add to Cart button does not work. It appears to be for all products. I cannot tell why it does this, nor do I recall when it stopped working.

Thank you for contacting us about the Add to Cart button ceasing to work in Prestashop. I recommend enabling PHP error reporting, so you can see if any errors are generated. If you are using the Firefox browser you can also check errors by right-clicking the Add to Cart button and clicking "Inspect Element (Q)" and choosing the "Debugger" tab. This will display information about the elements on your page that may be causing errors.

These can help us isolate a possible cause of the problem. Without much more information available on when the error occurred it is difficult to make any kind of accurate prognosis. If you have any more information feel free to let us know how we can help.

I cannot find the php.ini file in the instructions you linked. I see the public_html folder, but that's as far as I got.

It is possible you don't have a php.ini file yet. It's basically just a text file. You may need to create a php.ini file.

OK, I created the php.ini file version 5.6 and I edited it according to the instructions. Where would I see errors that are generated?

I think there may have been a little confusion about the error reporting. PrestaShop has its own logs where you can look at for errors. You can enable error reporting in PrestaShop 1.5 or you can enable error reporting in PrestaShop 1.6. Please use those guides to enable error reporting in PrestaShop. You will see where the error logs are in the tutorials.

I enabled error reporting for Prestashop 1.6, but when I go back to my site and click the Add to Cart button, nothing happens, not even an error message. I'm wondering if there is a broken link or something like that. Should there be a way for me to contact the template creator? When I last contacted PrestaShop they wanted me to purchase a support package before they would help me further.

I purchased the KIDS MARKET theme from PrestaShop.

I found where I could contact the theme creator, and they're wanting my back office login information so they can poke around for themselves. I'm really not comfortable giving out login information like that, but I wasn't sure if that was normal or even the only way for someone to tell what's still wrong.

Users often provide login credentials to Live Support to help us troubleshoot issues, but I can understand having apprehensions about sharing your login credentials with a 3rd party developer. You may be able to rule the theme out by testing with a different/default theme. For example, you could activate the default theme to see if it has the same issue.
