New Open Cart Theme will not enable

I'm back guys. I was deployed overseas but I'm back and have a new website. I remember how awesome the Open Cart techs were. I am learning all over again. With the help of your phone tech we uploaded the new theme via FileZilla to my Open Cart Dashboard. Neither one of us can get it to work. I can see the theme (UP) but no matter what we do we can't get it to enable. When I go to my website it says ERROR: A theme has not been chosen for this website. Right now the site is down. Can you please take a look at what the problem is?

Sorry for the problem with the OpenCart site. I looked up that error and it appears to be related to OpenCart 3.x - which is very new. The issue is being discussed in the OpenCart support forum and there are several possible solutions. Please check out their support forum post for further information regarding the problem.

Neither of the solutions in the forum post worked. So I continue to need a solution. I will also reach out to the developer but in the mean time I need you guys to work you magic just as you have always done. Do you need to get into my Opencart dashboard? By the way....nice to specak to you again Arnel. Ask the other guys for help this please.

I recommend checking your public_html/admin/config.php as well as your public_html/config.php file for the theme directory it is looking for. Typically it is in the format:

define('DIR_TEMPLATE', DIR_APPLICATION . 'view/template/');

for both files, but the DIR_APPLICATION in each file is defined as described below:

define('DIR_APPLICATION', '/home/userna5/public_html/admin/');


define('DIR_APPLICATION', '/home/userna5/public_html/catalog/');

When you check the theme directories (/home/userna5/public_html/catalog/view/template/ AND /home/userna5/public_html/admin/view/template/), you will be looking to ensure that all the theme files are properly uploaded/stored in those locations. Otherwise theme errors will persist. I hope this helps!
