I just tried to install Magento. cPanel completes the process normally and says it's OK - but while trying to log in, I only get the following error message. I uninstalled the program and re-installed, but it did not help. What's wrong?
Fatal error: session_start() [<a href='function.session-start'>function.session-start</a>]: Failed to initialize storage module: user (path: /tmp) in /home/eaiand5/public_html/kaktusepood/app/code/core/Mage/Core/Model/Session/Abstract/Varien.php on line 125

I have taken into your account and it appears that you may be running a different version of PHP than Magento requires. Try <a href="http://www.inmotionhosting.com/support/website/php/how-to-change-the-php-version-your-account-uses">changing your PHP version</a> and see if it is working correctly.

Please also keep in mind that Magento is extremely resource intensive and may require a VPS or dedicated server depending on the traffic that reaches it.
