I tried installing abante cart. Softaculous auto-filled most of the fields. I entered a new admin username and password as requested and submitted. This is what it said.
The following errors were found :

"Installation cannot proceed because the following files already exist in the target folder :
image
php.ini
Please delete these files or choose another folder.OR
Select the checkbox to overwrite all files and continue"
I have no idea what to do at this point.

Hello,

Thank you for contacting us about errors installing AbanteCart in Softaculous. The error is occurring because the following file/folder are already in the install location:
A folder named: image
&
A file named: php.ini

If you are not sure if you need these, I recommend just renaming the file/folder. This way they are still available if you need them.

For example, rename them to:
image-old
&
old-php.ini

You should then be able to successfully install AbanteCart using Softaculous.

Let us know if you have any further questions.

Thank you,
John-Paul

Thank you. I renamed them but the photos in my site then disappeared. I reverted the names back to the original, and my photos reappeared. The folder "image" and the "php.ini" file I renamed were under my public_html heading. I'm guessing I didn't rename the correct ones.

I went back to the reinstall page. I had left the directory field blank, so the program was trying to install in my "public_html" folder into the "image" folder and "php.ini" file. I typed "store" into the blank field, and it successfully installed under that heading.
