I am unable to ssh into my server
Category: File Management
I am using red hat enterprise linux developer edition to develop my website. I need access to my server via ssh so that I can transfer my work quickly to my server. I have followed the instructions on the InMotion site, generated public and private keys, downloaded them and authorised the public key for access but I am unable to connect at all. I am unsure whether my access has been activated or whether I don't have access.

Hello, Thank you for contacting us about issues connecting to your server via SSH. Since you are on a shared server, ensure you are using port 2222, instead of the standard port 22. This is covered in our walk-through guide Logging into your server with SSH. It also includes a helpful video. If your problems persist, it may be helpful to contact Live Support, so they can review your server logs for errors or any record of your transmission. Alternately, you may also be able to transfer your work via FTP. Let us know if you have any further questions. Thank you, John-Paul |
