I just started getting a huge amount of spam (50 per day) in the last few days to my inmotion hosted email.

Most likely, this is because your email address may have been posted in a public location or added to a spam list in which that list is being passed around to multiple sources. For information on preventing spam, you may want to take a look at the following article:
