Hello Scattercode,

Sorry for the issue you're seeing with the add-on domain. I just checked on a WHOIS query to see if the domain is registered. It's not registered as far as I can tell at this time. . Creating an add-on domain does not register domain, and this is required for any domain that will be used on the internet. Additionally, if you just registered, domains are not available immediately as there may be some propagation involved. More information on domain propagation can be found here:

Domain Propagation

Yes there is a delay when adding domains in the addons. Usually up to 24 hours. If it takes longer we can check if something has gone wrong.

Hi Arnel,

Thanks for getting back to me.

The domain has been registered for a few weeks. It's using the Portuguese TLD, so many whois sites don't show it. However, IANA manages the .pt TLD, so you can see that it has been registered using the following whois command:
whois -h -p 43

Or in a web browser:

I'm attempting to set the name servers to be used on that domain, but as can be seen from the nslookup against the InMotion nameservers, the domain is not visible:

Is there an expected delay in the InMotion nameservers being updated after creating the add-on domain? Or has something gone wrong?

Ah that explains it! In that case I shall go away and hopefully you won't hear from me tomorrow! :)

Thank you for you question scattercode!

I checked the DNS on the server and the domain was added correctly and the nameservers are correct. The DNS serial number in red below shows the DNS records were made on 04-24-2013. Please see below.

pt. 292 IN SOA 2013042406 21600 7200 2592000 300

You may still need to wait for the DNS to propagate. Please allow up to 24 hours fro the DNS to take effect. For more information on DNS propagation, please see the link below.
