Using the PHP-Nuke Web Statistics Report

PHP-Nuke includes its own tool for tracking website statistics.  This option has a basic and a detailed view which tracks page views by month and hour.  The following article explains how to locate and use these options within a standard PHP-Nuke installation.

Accessing the PHP-Nuke Website Statistics

  1. Login to the PHP-Nuke Administration Back-end.  These statistics are also available (as long as the menu is included) through the front end website.
  2. Select Statistics from list of Modules on left

Scroll down the left hand side menu for the MODULES until you find STATISTICS.  Click on STATISTICS.

  3. Basic Stats page in Website Statistics for PHP Nuke

When you click on Statistics, you will see the Basic view which includes details on the types of browser, operating systems and other miscellaneous stats about the website.  At the top of the statistics page, click on VIEW DETAILED STATISTICS.

  4. Detailed Stats page

The detailed statistics shows the page views in an hourly, daily, and monthly view.  It also summarized the total number of page views, and busiest day, month and hour.   You can click on RETURN TO BASIC STATISTICS or click on GO BACK to return to the basic statistics.

Options to show Web stats

You can also set who see the statistics by going into the Administration back-end and setting the option for “Who can View this?”.   This option is found under the MODULESsection.  You can deactivate completely, or simply allow only specific user group access by using the drop-down menu.

Website statics captures some of the website statistics and makes it quickly (and easily available).  However, if you require more detailed instructions to access data, then we recommend setting up and using Google Analytics.
