InMotion Hosting is expanding our products and we need a results-driven Technical Sales Manager to lead the charge! This role will build and refine the first round of processes, structures, and automation for successful inbound and outbound sales pipelines related to Flex Metal Cloud. 

Flex Metal Cloud is our new Infrastructure-as-a-Service platform including on-demand OpenStack private clouds. Each Flex Metal Cloud is a full featured IaaS Solution including OpenStack private cloud with enterprise-quality Ceph cloud storage that is provisioned in less than one hour. Users can easily create new clouds and flexibly scale their existing clouds to meet their needs with Flex Metal Cloud’s innovative usage-based billing. The Flex Metal Cloud platform makes OpenStack a true, open source competitor to big closed source public cloud providers.

We’re looking for someone with a passion for closing complex technical sales and for building new teams, new processes, and new operations. This is a ‘working Manager’ role so we need someone who is ready to roll up their sleeves and generate sales individually. Are you ready?

What You’ll Do:

  • Establish processes, procedures and performance metrics for our Flex Metal Cloud focused Sales team through your knowledge of best practices
  • Generate sales by finding new markets and utilizing your own professional network 
  • Build a team to help you achieve revenue goals and provide customer support for the Flex Metal Cloud platform
  • Partner with the Engineering team to train the sales agents on the latest developments and technology in the Flex Metal Cloud platform and in other technologies like OpenStack and Ceph
  • Partner with Marketing teams regularly to improve Marketing Qualified Leads and Sales Accepted/Qualified Leads and to create new collateral, resources, and messaging
  • Build and regularly develop a strong network of advocates and potential customers through LinkedIn using LinkedIn Sales Navigator among other resources
  • Utilize HubSpot to manage the team sales pipeline and optimize HubSpot configuration and automation to drive sales
  • Rise to the challenge of exceeding Unit and Revenue Goals of a new product line

Ideal Candidates Have:

  • 3-5+ years of B2B sales experience working with outbound sales pipelines
  • 1-3+ years selling complex technical solutions, additional focus on infrastructure-based, usage-based, or cloud product is a plus
  • Inbound sales experience a plus
  • A passion for Open Source and the communities that drive it
  • Experience leading process development for a competitive sales environment highly preferred
  • Proven experience leading a team in meeting and exceeding revenue goals
  • Comfortability using LinkedIn and LinkedIn Sales Navigator to pursue new prospects
  • Proficiency in HubSpot, including managing a HubSpot team account
  • Experience selling to a technical audience, including Developers, Engineers, DevOps Engineers, CTOs, and leaders of technical teams
  • Strong technical aptitude as it relates to cloud computing, software-defined networking, cloud storage, Ceph, and OpenStack
  • A competitive nature and strong work ethic 
  • The ability to develop new marketing channels and utilize existing networks of contacts to ensure successful, long-term customer relationships
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, Engineering, Communication, or related field
  • Strong command of the English Language
