Office Spotlight: Denver, CO

This week, we want to highlight our Denver, CO Office for living out one of our core values: We Improve!  When learning and the pursuit of knowledge stops, growth and progress is hindered.  Denver recently unveiled a Resource Room for all team members to enjoy to help foster an environment of continuous learning.  The Resource Room is designed to help team members continue their professional development by providing a mini library that is readily available and easily accessible.  The library features a variety of books that team members can check out and read at their leisure, with topics ranging from technical information to personal and leadership development.

The Resource Room also provides team members with a chance to unplug and refuel by giving a “break” from working at the computer.  During breaks, team members can use the Resource Room to play games, read, or enjoy complimentary snacks on a comfy couch.  Thank you, Denver team members, for your continued pursuit of excellence!

School Supply Drive A Success!

InMotion Hosting team members demonstrated the company’s core value of “WE care” during the 5th Annual Back-to-School Supply Drive!  Each year, InMotion holds a voluntary company-wide school supply drive to collect school supplies for children in our local communities.  With the addition of our new office in Colorado, we were able to expand our reach to school children in the Denver, CO metro area.  Each office partnered with a different organization: ForKids in Virginia Beach, the I Have A Dream Foundation in Los Angeles, and Stuff for Students in Denver.

The IMH team came together and gave generously in support of our local communities.  Thanks to all for your generous donations!

Virginia Beach

ForKids is one of the largest providers for homeless families in Virginia, touching over 47,500 lives annually through its holistic housing programs and extended services for families.  The Virginia office donated a large variety of school supplies, including paper, pens/pencils, backpacks, highlighters, crayons, markers, scissors (to name a few school supplies), that filled two shopping carts to the brim!

Los Angeles

The I Have A Dream Foundation provides individualized social, emotional, and academic support to young people from low-income communities in the Los Angeles area.  Support is provided for a variety of ages, starting as young as kindergarten all the way through college.  Los Angeles pulled out all the stops and donated an entire cart-full of notebooks, glue sticks, scissors, rulers, folders, and more!

Stuff for Students is a partnership of Volunteers of America, 9News, and several other local businesses in the Denver area. The donations received from the Stuff for Students drive will go to the 15 school districts in Colorado that have the most need.  Our Denver team pulled together and filled an entire donation box – your donation will help make an impact on the lives of many children!

Sizzlin’ Summer Fun

Family and friends gathered together in Los Angeles, Denver, and Virginia Beach for InMotion Hosting’s annual summer events!  Each summer, InMotion hosts a get-together at each of our locations as a celebration and a “thank you” to all of our team members and their families.  While we work hard for our customers, we also like to play hard, and this year we took our core value of “We Have Fun” to the next level!

InMotion Hosting’s summer event is a great time to gather together as a company and enjoy each other outside of the confines of the office.  Each event featured plenty of food, games, and exciting updates about the company and its products from the President and Vice President.  Additionally, it wouldn’t be a summer event without our giveaway raffle, and this year’s raffle did not disappoint!  Several team members walked away with great giveaways, including Beats Wireless Headphones, a Roku Premiere, FitBits, and several vacation vouchers valued at over $1500 a piece!  Congrats to all our raffle winners!

In Los Angeles, the competition heated up between the red team and the blue team as team members battled it out on the laser tag field at Laser Storm.  Our newest office in Denver got to enjoy a variety of fun at the new Boondocks Fun Center with VIP bowling, laser tag, arcade games, go karts, mini golf, and bumper boats.  The Virginia Beach office took over Laser Quest and went head-to-head in laser tag and a variety of arcade games and other activities.  A good time was had by all.  Thank you all for making the 2017 summer events a success!

Team Member Profile: Matt S.

Matt S.Hometown: Virginia Beach, VA

Position: Support – Tier 1 Team Lead

Been with InMotion Hosting since: April 2015

How have you enjoyed working in the web hosting industry since starting at InMotion Hosting?

I really enjoy the challenge of keeping up with the latest technology! Getting to be hands-on with that technology on a daily basis is probably one of the coolest things.

What is your current role at InMotion Hosting? What do you like most about it?

Team Lead. I find that in my current position I can give training in guidance to others in order for our team to work together as a whole, successful unit. Coming from a Tier 1 position, I feel I’m in the perfect position to offer my guidance based on my experience to help others become successful. Some things that I like about InMotion Hosting are:

  • Conscious about the environment
  • Plenty of opportunity for bonuses in any of the support positions
  • Work events!!! Are you kidding me. The summer event was probably the best work event I’ve attended professionally
  • Continuing education program that reimburses for taking certifications and/or school classes
  • The friendly, laid back environment

What was the training process like?

Initial: Very hands-on. Something that anyone can come in and accomplish. I came in without much prior web hosting experience. If I had any questions about how the training was going, or needed more information during my self-paced training, my trainers were right there for me to ask. On-the-floor: I like to consider it “live” training. It will usually happen that throughout my experience as a T1 that if I had an issue, someone from the higher tier would walk me through it. Most times that means they would visit my desk and walk me through the process.

Coolest gadget you own, want to own or have read about?

Coolest gadget I’ve read about:

What would you like to tell us about yourself?

Always seeking a challenge. I really enjoy being part of the team that provides the best hosting, customer service, and reliability in the industry.

Would you like to be part of a growing company like Matt? Send your resume to for review.
