AI-assisted tools are changing who can create software and how quickly an idea can become a working application. But there is still a meaningful gap between building an app and making it reliably available online.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That gap is what we are exploring with App Launcher, a new beta from InMotion Labs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is InMotion Labs<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

InMotion Labs is our specialized research team, bringing promising product ideas to customers early for testing, learning from real usage, and shaping the experience before the broader release of these new tools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is App Launcher<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

App Launcher is a tool in beta that is designed to simplify the path from a GitHub repository to a live, shareable HTTPS URL. After you connect a repository, App Launcher detects how to build the project and handles the deployment. The beta also provides deployment and health logs, rollbacks, automatic redeploys, access controls, and email alerts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

GitHub remains part of the workflow. App Launcher focuses on reducing the infrastructure and pipeline setup that usually comes after the project reaches the repository.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why we are asking for testers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A deployment experience can look straightforward when every project follows the expected path. Real repositories are more varied. They use different frameworks, dependency versions, build commands, folder structures, and runtime assumptions. The most useful feedback now will come from people willing to try their own projects and show us where App Launcher succeeds, where it is unclear, and where it fails.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are particularly interested in projects created with AI-assisted app-building tools, but the beta is not limited to one builder. If your project is available on GitHub, we want to learn how App Launcher handles it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What to tell us<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If you test App Launcher, we would value feedback on whether the setup was clear, whether the product correctly detected and built your project, whether the deployment status and logs helped you understand what was happening, and whether you reached a live URL without outside help.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When something fails, that feedback is especially useful. Tell us what kind of project you attempted, where the experience stopped, and what you expected to happen next.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
