Creating a new user in BuddyPress

It’s important you understand the process of how your visitors will create a user and profile. Here’s we’ll walk you through creating a user profile as if you were a visitor to the BuddyPress site.

This is important. New users will not be able unless you go to the General Settings in the WordPress Dashboard and check the box marked “Anyone can register”

Once you do this, and you refresh the page, the login box will have a link to your register page to create an account.

Click on the “create an account” link and fill out the form on the page.

Once the form is filled out, you’ll need to go to your email account you used to register and complete the activation process. Click on the link in the email and you’ll see the account activated screen. You can now login to your BuddyPress website with your new user.
