Now that you have installed the forums on your BuddyPress website, you can create new forum topics and assign them to specific groups. If you have not enabled the forums on your site, please see out article about enabling forums for groups in BuddyPress.

When you visit the “forums” page on your BuddyPress website you’ll see a screen below. Click on the “New Topic” button to start creating a new topic in the forums.

Fill out the sections under the “Create New Topic” heading. Select post topic once you are satisfied with your topic title and content. You can also use Tags to categorize the forum topic as well. You will need to assign the topic to a group.

Please keep in mind that you must enable the group to include forum topics. If you do not do this in the group settings, the group will not show up in the dropdown.
