If you go to your website and it says, "This site is currently Unavailable", it is because the account was shut off and is no longer accessible on the server. This is typically caused by a suspension on the account.

At times, InMotion Hosting does have to suspend a hosting account. There are a few causes of website suspensions. Typically, the website can be brought back online as soon as the cause of the suspension is resolved.

  • Billing Issue - If your hosting is up for renewal and we are not able to charge the card we have on file, then the account may be suspended pending payment.  You can update your credit card information by contacting our Billing Team by telephone and email or by contacting our support team 24/7 via live chat.
  • CPU Usage - If your hosting account is using such a high level of CPU usage that it effects other accounts on the server, then the account will be temporarily suspended while we work with you for a solution to help bring the usage back down to a normal level. In some cases, it may be required that you move to a higher level hosting package.
  • Terms of Service Violation - Adult material and copyrighted content is a violation of our Terms of Service. If your website has been found to contain adult material or copyrighted content you will be suspended until the content in question is removed.

In all of these cases, please contact our customer service as soon as possible so that we can take the steps necessary to get your site online again.  If possible we recommend that you give us a call as our Tech Support is here 24/7 and can handle most site suspension issues. If you can not call, when your site is suspended we will send an email to the email address that we have on file.  You can also reply back to that email directly and via email we can discuss the best course of action to correct the issue.

This is starting to get very annoying. I got suspended 3 times a week. I'm almost out of my business by this.

Hello joelee, we apologize for the inconvenience.

Taking a look at your account notes it appears that was has been causing your account suspensions is the use of multiple WordPress sites without caching. WordPress themselves recommends when running WordPress on a shared server that you utilize a caching plugin to help reduce duplicate database calls and reduce CPU consumption.

I see that your account has already been un-suspended and it looks like WP Super Cache has been setup on the majority of your WordPress installs already so that should help prevent further suspensions of your account for high CPU usage.

Please let us know if you have any further questions at all.
