"404 file not found" errors are caused when someone tries to visit a web page that does not exist on the server. If you visit your website and see a 404 Not Found error message, you may want to check the spelling in the URL to ensure it matches the file/folder you are trying to access.

Correcting a 404 File Not Found error

Capitalization may be the cause. Linux servers are case sensitive. Since this is the case, Index.html is not the same as index.html. This applies to folders as well. If you have a photo.jpg file in an images folder, yourdomain.com/Images/photo.jpg is not the same as yourdomain.com/images/photo.jpg
