If you wish to change your Premium Website Builder login password, this can be done within the Builder interface itself. In the previous version of the Account Management Panel (AMP), the Builder password could be changed. However, as of the end of November 2013, the Premium Website Builder password can no longer be changed directly in the AMP interface. The password is synchronized directly with the AMP password when the Builder software is installed. The following article explains how to change the password directly and summarizes the changes that have been made AMP for the purposes of managing the password to sign in to the Builder application.

How to change the Builder Password in the Premium Website Builder interface

Warning- Using the Builder Login link will automatically synchronize your AMP password with the Builder. Using the instructions below will allow you to change the password for the Builder, but using the Builder link in AMP will again re-synchronize the Builder password with the AMP password. To keep this from happening, use the URL to login to the Builder outside of AMP: http://builder.inmotionhosting.com.

In order to change your password in the Premium Website Builder interface, you will need to know your current password. Follow the directions below to change the password:

  1. Login to the Builder.
  2. Go to the Admin Panel

    Click on Go to Admin Panel in the top right corner of the screen after you login to the Builder.

  3. Select My Profile

    Click on My Profile in the column on the left of the screen

  4. Click on the change password button

    Click on the Change Password button

  5. Type in the

    Type in your current password, then type in your new password twice. Record your new password in a secure location so that you don't lose it.

  6. Click OK to confirm the change, or CANCEL in order to cancel the password change process.

Premium Website Builder Updates

  • Premium Website Builder is automatically installed after the hosting account is established
  • To help make the process of building the website with the Builder software a separate FTP account is automatically created for new Builder installations and synchronized to the publishing settings for the Builder.
  • The AMP password will automatically be re-synchronized when the Builder login link is used in the AMP interface. Do not use this link if you intend to keep the Builder password different from the login.
