How to Update your cPanel Contact Information
Your cPanel account with InMotion Hosting can notify you for various reasons concerning your account. For example, when an email accounts approaches or is over quota, or your cPanel password changes. In this tutorial, we will show you how to update your cPanel Contact Information.
Updating your cPanel Contact Information
- Login to your cPanel.
- Click the Update Contact Information button in the Preferences section.
- On the Contact Information & Preferences page, you will see two fields available. In the top field, fill in your main email address. You can enter a second email address in the second field. cPanel advises "This should be an email address that is not on your account."
- In the Contact Preferences section choose the notifications you want to receive.
The following notification options are available click the box next to the notification you want to receive:
My contact email address changes.(The system will notify you at your current and previous contact email addresses.)
If the above option is disabled, notify me. My account approaches its disk quota. Any of my account’s email accounts approaches or is over quota. My account’s password changes. If the above option is disabled, notify me.
- Click the Save button to record your changes. You will then see a summary of the notification settings, and a message on the bottom stating "The system successfully updated your contact information and preferences. ".
