Hello Axel,

Sorry for the problem you're having with the cPanel theme. The reason you're having issues is because the X theme is the original theme and it will not have the most recent functional links or options. I changed it back to the default theme X3 for you.

Please let us know if you require any further assistance.

I am stuck with the "x" theme in cpanel. This article didn't show me how to get to default because there is NO CHANGE STYLE link with the x theme. Why can't this be fixed?

Hello Dave,

Sorry for the problem and for the delay in your answer. The X theme was the original cPanel theme. This is unfortunately not something that we developed and can therefore fix. The developers of cPanel are aware of the issue, but no fix has yet been forthcoming. If you have an account with InMotion, you can contact the live technical support team via phone/chat/email and they can fix it for you immediately.

If you have any further questions or comments, please let us know.

I just posted a comment, and now I see others are having the same problem. And apparently in November InMotion knew this was a problem, and still hasn't fixed it in January. Ny the responses I read here, I'm stuck with having to contact Live Support to change my panel theme from that horrid layout.

(Second comment - added to this comment as they are the same issue) My cPanel view (x style) does not have a Change Style button. So I can't follow the instructions in this video.

Hello Monica,

Apologies for the problem with the cPanel theme. cPanel is a software not developed by InMotion and the issue has been submitted as an issue with the developers of cPanel, but they have not provided any type of fix to address this issue. It is my understanding that they are actually removing the ability to select the X theme in the future.

At this time, please contact our live technical support team to revert your theme back to the default one. Sorry again for the issue, please let us know if you have any further questions or comments.

I have accidentally changed the cPanel theme to X, thus loosing the ability to return to X3.  Unfortunately, I am a temporary contractor working for the account holder.  I have access to the cPanel login credentials, but not the Amp password, therefore support will not assist me.  How am I supposed to fix this?

Hello Erik,

Thank you for your question. Since this is just our public forums, I cannot make any changes to your account from here.

Someone who is capable of verifying ownership of the account will have to contact Live Support, to make this change.

Thank you,
