How to disable auto-renew

Disabling auto renewals is the same process as a cancellation. To do so, please contact our Support Department at any time and request that your account be set to expire. Your account will then no longer be active after the time that has already been paid in advance. Of course, if you decide in the future that you want to renew again, please contact Support so that they may renew your hosting account.

Before you begin the cancellation process

If you still intend to cancel the account, we understand. Please have the following information ready in order to make your cancellation a smooth process:

  • Account Username
  • The last 4 digits of the credit card on file
  • Email address
  • Daytime phone number

To cancel your account, or turn off auto-renewal please contact our Support and Billing Department at any time. We recommend calling us at 888-321-4678 ext 2 (US customers) or +1-757-416-6575 ext 2 (international customers) as the fastest method, followed by chat, and then creating a ticket if necessary.

I have been trying to cancel my account all day!!!  I sent an email and got a response asking if I wanted to cancel all services and I said yes but never heard back.  Tried to live chat but it just kept loading and loading and loading.  I can't login because I've forgotten my password and when I click on "forgot password" it says an email is being sent which never arrives!  I sat on hold on your 888 number forever!  I'm VERY frustrated at this point.  PLEASE CANCEL MY DOMAIN AND ALL OTHER SERVICES TODAY AND CONFIRM VIA EMAIL.

We definitely apologize for the delay and any frustrations they have caused you. I do see your email request to cancel your account, and see that the billing team hasn't gotten back to you quite yet. I've gone ahead and alerted them of your ticket.

To help expedite the process, you could reply to your cancellation request email again confirming your account with the current AMP password, or the last 4 digits of the credit card on file.

I see that your account doesn't renew for another month, so there should be plenty of time to process the account cancellation before then.

In regards to forgetting your password, please check in any Junk folders to ensure the password reset email might not have accidentally gotten filtered.

Live chats and phone lines appear to be free of a hold time right now, so if you would prefer to talk to us live please try getting in contact with us again.

Trying to cancel also … was told to log in to Support. Can't do that because it's not accepting any password that I might have used … this is a recurring problem. Please respond to my cancellation request.

Hello David,

If you can't login to AMP, you can reset your AMP password in order to gain access.

Unfortunately we can't process cancellation requests here publicly without an authorized request. So if you're unable to login to AMP to process your request, please be sure to submit a ticket to have your request processed.

I've tried and tried to get further than submitting the initial ticket … I can log into AMP and CPanel, but not Support. I've tried calling, 10 minutes on hold is too long.

Thank you for your comment. Since this is just our public forum, we cannot cancel your account from here. As explained in this tutorial, please contact Live Tech Support to request cancellation.

When you sign up for hosting, it posts a charge, but the charge does not go through until you confirm your purchase over the phone.

We call and email you using the contact information that was provided at signup. If you do not confirm your account over the phone, the initial charge will not go through.
