How can we determine if that is our server? My site is having issues.

This is too much. If you still could not solve the problem, Give us a different server other than Biz136. Anyhow you will have to give us an immediate solution. Even our client's websites are depends upon In Motion Hosting. Try to find out Different solution to solve this issue rather than trying to fix the Bugs.

This has been almost 3 days and still it's not back. Even pages with no database connection are not working anymore at this time. We got no email to warn, the server is not listed here http://status.inmotionhosting.com/ ...
+1 with malsabey recommendation: move us to another server. Sure it hosts cheap plans, probably with no SLA, but 3 days?

Hello gary767, and thanks for the question.

Based off your e-mail account, it looks like you're hosted on a VPS, and so would not be affected by the problems with the biz136 shared server.

You can always see what server you're on by viewing your account's technical information in AMP as well.

Hello malsabey, and maxmathieu, and sorry for the troubles.

I see that both of your websites appear to be pulling up now without issue, although we are still experiencing intermittent connectivity issues at times on the biz136 shared server.

When a shared server like this is experiencing intermittent issues, we typically try to avoid moving customers to another server for a few reasons. Mainly because of DNS changes taking up to 48 hours to fully propagate, it can lead to mismatched data between the current server, and a new server that we move you to.

Also while the server is experiencing degraded performance, the process of moving accounts to other servers can lead to further performance degradation. Another unfortunate problem is if our system administrators spend all their time moving customer accounts rather than trying to address the problems on the current server, it can delay the overall recovery process for the entire server.

We definitely apologize for these intermittent problems, and if you were still consistently having issues please contact our support department directly via support@inmotionhosting.com to inquire about the possibility of a server migration for your account.

Please let us know if you have any other questions at all.

it is so ridiculous. Till today i have lost over 100K of my business. And the Support team have no backup plans. Is it normal to have downtime for 5 days. What can be done?

Hello alexsolution,

These issues are not normal, and further information can be found regarding ongoing biz136 issues. Although right now at this moment, your website is up.

If you're loosing $100K in business over these issues, I would HIGHLY recommend upgrading to a dedicated server right away instead of relying on sub $150/year shared hosting.

For a lot of shared hosting customers the cost of a dedicated server isn't viable, but in your case it would make a lot more sense to ensure that you don't miss a single day of business. At those levels of business you'd be having to make around $800 an hour over the 5 days, so it would seem to be a very good investment in your particular case.

Please let us know if you have any further questions at all.
