I HAVE NO WEBSITE! I cannot even log in to my dashboard through wordpress - it acts like it doesn't exist - is that because of this issue and when will it be resolved?

My customers have not been able to log in consistently because of intermittent database errors since August 17. I have been fielding complaint calls for 11 DAYS! THIS IS LIKE DEALING WITH THE CABLE COMPANY!

Hello Gordon.fox,

I'm sorry to hear that you're having problems with the database connectivity. The issue with Biz136 started on the 19th and has been narrowed down to a specific hardware issue by our Systems team. They are working to resolve it as soon as possible. The issue in question does require some time in order to fix unfortunately, and it's difficult to give any type of exact time for resolution.

For more specific information on the actions being taken on your server, please review Server Status Updates.

Apologies again for the troubles! Please let us know if you have any further questions or comments.

Kindest Regards,
Arnel C.

What the heck is going on???? I realise there are issues, but we dont seem to be getting much in the way of updates.
I have been sitting on this for some days now, and not commenting, because I KNOW you guys are busy trying to fix it, and I dont want to pester you.... I know what its like, but please folks.... give us a little more information..... we all have clients breathing down our necks and don't know what to say to them.... it makes both us and IMH look bad.....
Please... more regular updates..... even if it is to say.... we're still working on it... but some informaion on the actual specific nature of the problem would be so MUCH better...... we can then pass that on to our clients, and we will both at least look professional!
I DO regard IMH as professional... love your work, but this isnt doing much for both our reputations...... Keep up the usually GREAT work guys...... but don't turn the lights out on us..... dont keep us in the dark :-) :-) :-)

Hello Mikemobius,

Thanks for the feedback. Our apologies if it appears that we're keeping you in the dark. Server updates are typically published at InMotion Hosting Server Status. Our systems team has been regularly updating this page with information on the issue.

To summarize:

DDOS (Distributed Denial of Service) attacks have increased and were targeting several servers here at InMotion Hosting. Even though the event was immediately detected, it still required some time in order to mitigate and stop the attacks from affecting our servers. Much of the attack has already been mitigated, but they are still seeing high loads on servers such as biz136.

This is been an up-and-down battle all day. The good news is that the last time I checked the server load, it was definitely down to more optimal levels - such sites on this server should be optimal.

I hope this helps to bring light on the matter. If you have any further questions or comments, please let us know.

Regards,
Arnel C.
