Creating and Managing Accounts with WHM - Using Web Host Manager 102

WHM allows you to create and manage cPanel accounts for your clients. As you can create cPanel accounts, you're basically operating as your own web hosting company! You may need to do more than simply create the accounts, and in WHM 102 we're going to guide you through the standard tasks you'll perform when managing the accounts on your server.

Section 1:
In our previous articles, we gave you an introduction to web hosting in general, and the differences between cPanel and WHM. We think now is finally a good time to show you how to log into your own WHM!
Section 2:
Creating your own cPanel accounts to resell (or use yourself) is an important feature within WHM. In this tutorial, we'll show you how to create a new cPanel account.
Section 3:
Similar to how InMotion Hosting has a Power plan that offers 26 parked domains, you can create cPanel packages to make it easier to create and manage cPanel accounts.
Section 4:
Feature Lists allow you to specify which features (such as the File Manager or Awstats) that your cPanel accounts have access to.
Section 5:
Accounts that you create in WHM can be suspending / unsuspended. This is usually done if an account is delinquent.
Section 6:
The settings you defined when creating a cPanel account are not set in stone. If you need to change details, such as the number of addon and parked domain names available to an account, you can do so at any time. You can use the Modify an Account feature in WHM to modify cPanel accounts.
Section 7:
As with most services offered, upgrading and downgrading plans is a necessity. In this tutorial, we'll show you how you can upgrade or downgrade the packages that cPanel accounts are assigned to.
Section 8:
You can use the Brand Editor within WHM to brand cPanel specifically for you, allowing your users to see your logo / color scheme / etc in their cPanel.
