Setting Out of Range behavior for Carriers in PrestaShop 1.5Written by Scott Mitchell
After adding a carrier to your PrestaShop 1.5 store you will want to tweak the details to make your store more efficient. Setting Out of Range behavior for a Carrier is one such detail. This describes how a carrier will behave, or display, in the carrier list in regards to shipping your product. An order can be out of range if it is beyond the normal scope of the carrier (too heavy, too tall, etc.) For example, if a package is too large according to the maximum specifications you defined, then the carrier will either charge the maximum fee, or not deliver the package at all. The steps below show you how to set that.
To set the Out of range behavior for a Carrier in PrestaShop 1.5:
- Log into your PrestaShop 1.5 dashboard
- Using the top menu bar, hover over the Shipping tab and select Carriers from the menu.
- From the Shipping : Carriers page, select the Edit icon (the one that looks like a paper and pencil) from your desired carriers' row on the right.
- You are now on the Shipping : Edit Carriers page. Scroll down until you see the Out-of-range behavior field. From the dropdown, you can select how the Carrier will perform. Once selected, click the green Save button in the upper right hand corner of your screen.
