Viewing the Software stats report in PrestaShop 1.5

Now that you understand our Visitors Online report, we will continue working with your stats by covering the next report in line, the Software stats report. This report gives a breakdown of the different software your visitors are using. This can be useful for specific products you are thinking about selling. You may want to stock more PC software than Apple products if 75% of your visitors are using a Windows operating system, for example. Below are the steps to accessing and explanation of the data found in this PrestaShop 1.5 report.

Accessing the Software Report

1. Log into your PrestaShop 1.5 admin dashboard.
2. Using the top menu bar, hover over the Stats tab and click on the Stats option.
3. This will bring you to the Stats page. On the left hand sidebar are the many stats reports. Click on the Software link.
   
4. The Software report is broken up into three separate charts:

   The first chart is a pie chart displaying the percentages of customers that use the different Internet browsers.
   

   The next chart is a breakdown of which users are using which operating systems on their computers.
   

   The last set of data is a table that describes the different browser plugins and what percentage of customers are using them.
   

   This data can be used not only for determining what products to sell, but to help ensure that all of your customers can see everything on your site. Different browsers may display things differently or even not at all sometimes. Being able to track the percentages of users that are using what software will help if you decide to activate advanced features or even modify the base code of the program.
